Ciara is Group Communication Manager for Coca-Cola HBC, strategic bottling partner to the Coca-Cola Company, covering 29 markets.
In her role Ciara leads CEO communication to support strategy cascade, customer-centricity, sustainability commitments, and the company’s commitment to a purposeful and value-based culture. She is also experienced in crisis management and enhances capabilities in this area across the group’s 29 markets with training and message management.
Ciara previously worked for the local entity, Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland, as Head of Communication. In this role, she oversaw all external and internal communication, with responsibility for sustainability communication, CSR programmes, employer branding, corporate profiling, brand PR and change-management projects.
Ciara has more than 10 years’ experience in communications. She started her career working in PR agencies for a varied client base across financial, agri-food, healthcare, and education sectors.
She graduated from University College Cork with a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 2008 and from Technological University of Dublin with a Master’s in Public Relations in 2009. She has since completed a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.
During Covid-19, Ciara volunteered her time and PR support to launch an emergency fundraising appeal for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. She has been a mentor to a number of colleagues in Coca-Cola HBC and was an active member of the company’s Women’s Network for several years.
