Kieran is Head of Client Service with 15 years of creative agency experience, of distinguished and professional creative agency experience across both Irish independent agencies and global networked agencies. His client and category experience is both extensive and comprehensive, spanning diverse sectors including retail, telecommunications, FMCG, alcoholic beverages, sustainable businesses, NGO/non profits and automotive industries.
Kieran's career began at Publicis QMP in 2008, moving quickly up the ranks through progressively more senior roles at Cawley Nea/TBWA and vStream. Progressing steadily, he was promoted to the role of Senior Account Manager at Boys and Girls. Having cultivated a specialist skillset and interest in digital marketing, Kieran transitioned to Chemistry, where he took on the position of Head of Digital and Social. In 2020, he joined THINKHOUSE first as a Group Account Director , before being promoted to the newly created role of Head of Client Service in 2022 – the fruits of his tenacity, hard work, deep understanding and vision for the modern role client service. He now leads the Client Service team, overseeing a team of international and domestic client service directors – while also proving to be instrumental in building the future of THINKHOUSE as a core member of the agency leadership team.
As an adept client service professional, Kieran recognises the fundamental importance of collaborative agency-client partnerships and inter-agency partnerships. He remains acutely aware of the evolving citizen landscape, consistently applying forward-thinking strategies to client briefs and advocating for sustainability in marketing campaigns.
As Kieran has advanced in his career, he been keenly engaged in advancing a more progressive Ad industry – and to supporting the next wave of Adland’s future talent. His dedication to the progression of the industry can be seen in many ways; from his founding board membership of the IAPI Futureheads group, to his current role on the IAPI steering committee for a nationwide apprenticeship programme. He is committed to nurturing young, diverse talent in the communication and marketing sector - ensuring the industry continues to move and evolve with the times, and remains an attractive career choice for graduates.
In collaboration with colleagues at THINKHOUSE and TU Dublin, Kieran played a pivotal role in establishing the successful 'Breakthrough Scholarship’, now entering its third year. He also leads THINKHOUSE's continuous professional development programme, 'Fit To Win,' highlighting his commitment to advancing industry expertise, while providing an incredibly useful resource for clients.
Outside of his direct sphere of Advertising, Kieran is also involved in assisting Ireland’s provision of media services, Kieran's recent four-year tenure on the RTÉ Audience Council showcased his commitment to progressive, inclusive media through advising the RTÉ Board on issues related to the broadcaster’s public service remit and modern Ireland’s audience needs. Notably, he led a sub-committee that initiated a groundbreaking research project into RTÉ's youth audience; a step-change in the ongoing transformation of the organisation.
